This is a head’s up to all of our California Prevailing Wage clients – the DIR put out a press release on January 31, 2011 reminding employers to post summaries of work-related injury and illness at their place of business.  This summary should include a summary of all work-related injuries and illnesses that occurred in 2010, and must be posted from February 1 through April 30 of 2011.

The 300A log is available on the DIR’s website (Workplace Postings) and provides an overview of the type and severity of work place injuries and/or illnesses that need to be documented.  Bear in mind that all information about the injury or illness must be documented, including the nature of the injury or illness, the severity of the work-related incidents, and the number of days the employee missed work due to the injury or illness.

If employers have questions about the posting requirements they can visit the DIR Web site at: Dir Employer Responsibilities.
