If you’re a California Prevailing Wage contractor, or thinking of becoming one, we strongly suggest you take a look at the DLSE’s website – and, in particular, you should absolutely have a copy of their Public Works Manual.
This invaluable resource includes detailed information on all-things California Prevailing Wage, including sections on California Prevailing Wage law, the DLSE Prevailing Wage Enforcement Process, the DLSE’s role in Prevailing Wage Enforcement by Labor Compliance Programs… You get the drill. The DLSE’s Public Works Manual even includes a list of relevant court cases that you should be aware of (even if you don’t have the time!)
